Energy Healing (Reiki & IET)

Soul Journeys

"Maggie is an energetic healer truly in touch with her soul & her inner Goddess. She personally carries the energy of lightness & openness and this enables her clients to benefit from her considerable experience in energy healing. I have had the pleasure of participating reiki, reiki drumming, bell & feather clearing, soul journeys, and feel priviledged to have done so. The positive results that I have found are testament to her skills, her truth and her energetic integrity."

What's New

Time to enjoy Mercury Retrograde (again). Mercury Retrograde happens 3-4x a year. Fun. Our first one of 2014 begins today, February 6th, and goes direct on the 28th. In 2014, Mercury will be retrograde during: February 6-28, June 7-July 2, October 4-25. Keep in mind some may feel the effects of Mercury Retrograde three days prior and three days after is actual time frame. This is considered the 'shadow' of Mercury Retrograde.

Astrologically, it tends to affect Virgo's and Gemini's more or folks that have this strongly in their astrology chart somewhere. However, it does tend to just simply affect us all. The purpose is to realign our reality with the natural timing of the Universe.

Things that tend to go haywire sometimes during Mercury Retrograde are all things electronic (computers, appliances, etc.), car issues, etc. Mercury focuses on our physical manifestations, material possessions and technology. It also plays a huge part in communication and during retrograde all communications tend to go a little or a lot haywire (phones, internet, interactions with people, etc.).

Time to focus on the 'Re's'. When Mercury is retrograde it's the perfect time to release, re-evaluate and re-review our life, our goals and our more recent life experiences. We can take this time to renew, redo, revise, realign and refresh lists, plans and what we really want to accomplish now and in our lives in the future. To get back on the path by re-releasing the past, the old ways of doing things and things that no longer serve us.

The Do's and Don't's. It's not a good time for contracts or making big purchases. Communication will be wonky and once Mercury goes direct, mistakes and issues are usually found with these types of things. Watch what you do and say. Before reacting, it's best to take the witness state. Step back. Be in "non-reaction" mode. Really assess and re-assess what you would like to do or say regarding most things, especially big things and slowly when truly guided from an internal place, a guided place from God/Higher Self/Angels/Guides, etc. are also truly wise ways to be during this time frame.

Best said from this website, "Treat the time period as a time of gathering information, yet because the information will be in constant change it would be like trying to comb your hair in a wind storm. Best to wait until the changes stop before attempting to make things orderly. Therefore, just let the winds of situations blow around you without reacting. Once Mercury turns direct, take a look at the information that is still around at that time and go about putting everything in order, while maintaining the fine art of flexibility."

Make a plan for putting things in order, but don't go ALL out till Mercury goes direct again. Just allow the snow-globe affect to happen. Wait for the dust to fall as you go deeper 'inside'. Surrender to the upheaval of things. Then you'll see things come into place as it goes direct. Currently, for this Mercury Retrograde, we are direct on the 28th of February.

Sometimes when things go haywire during retrograde periods we can get stressed out and filled with anxiety. For this reason, this month's newsletter is focusing on our very own power to release stress with our Breath; our prana life force energy. It's free and easy.

It is my desire that you enjoy this month's Inspire You Article below,; our prana life force energy. It's free and easy. Time to Breathe and this month's question for my Dear Maggie column Yoga for Beginners - What do I do?

Yoga Sequence of the Month
Yogic Squat/Garland Pose

Maggie Anderson in Yogic Squat / Garland PoseYogic Squat (or Garland) Pose
is one of my favorite poses. I love the inner thigh stretch I receive as well as the feelings of releasing some tension. I can just close my eyes and let go here. This pose is great for our thighs, and stretches the ankles, groin and back torso, as well as tones the belly. Not everyone will be as open as I am in the hips and inner thighs. It's amazing to feel our Kundalini energy flow up the spine in this pose when lifting the pelvic floor up with a root lock. Love it!

Each pose provides its own unique challenges and release for all of us. Learn what each poses' message is for you as you explore this and every yoga pose.

Time to Breathe
Breath Awareness
Yoga BreathingBreathwork is an amazing way to release stress from the body and move through life's challenges with more ease and grace.
We create space with breath. As you focus only on your breath your attention to mind thoughts goes away and you are in the present moment allowing space and stillness to be there. Breathing, in and of itself, holds the key to our divine connection. For without breathing we would not survive. Become aware of your breath in every moment. Your breath is always in the present. Breath awareness is most powerful and transformational.

Breath is the key to relaxation. Pranayama is a Sanskrit word that means lengthening of the prana or breath. Prana is our life force or vital energy. Pranayama yoga is a practice of control of breath. Prana itself is the essence and energy of God/Divine itself. It is everywhere. It is in the trees, the flowers, the sun and it is vital to our very survival. That is why we are so linked with Mother Nature.
Ancient yogi's believed that we are each born with a certain amount of breaths. So as we work towards elongating our breaths or controlling our breathing we elongate our lifespan. Whether the number of breaths per individual life is true or not, conscious breathing is beneficial for our mind, body and soul. Practicing pranayama/breathing technique reduces stress, cleans and clears toxins from the body and so much more.

Below you will find several Breathing Techniques listed, click on the one(s) you'd like to practice and you will be taken directly to its description with the full 'Time to Breathe' article:

There are a variety of powerful ways that you can practice pranayama yoga to benefit your entire body. The use of pranayama techniques are very beneficial for smoothing out Kundalini symptoms that are too intense. Some forms I have come across are: Quiet breathing, Deep breathing, fast breathing, spinal breathing and many others. When practicing these versions of breathing it is imperative to your health that you do these with proper guidance and follow the instructions given.

"Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure."
~ Oprah Winfrey
