What's New - November

I also want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving this month. It's a month to really tap into what we our grateful for! From the little things to the biggies. And to really set your brain into rewiring mode for being more uplifted to attract more uplifting experiences, try a Gratitude Journal! :) I love doing these. Just write down three things you are grateful for every day, once a day for 30 days! Can you stop at just three things!? I know I couldn't on some days. It takes 21 days to reset the brain, so tap in for an entire month and see what miracles flow your way. I bet the first miracle is a more happy, uplifted and peaceful state of being. You will begin to search and look for the magic that already exists in your life and always has! :) It's amazing and magical. Enjoy true happiness this month!

YOGA CLASS CHANGE

My yoga classes with Breathe. Joy. Yoga. on Saturday mornings are changing from 7a.m. to 10:30-11:45a.m. for the Winter Season. We will bring back the 7a.m. Rise 'n Shine Yoga flow come Springtime! So if you like to sleep in a little this Winter Season and still want to catch a morning yoga class, my class is for you! :) Come join us this Saturday! Inspire You Article - Your God Moment

Your God Moment
Sunrise God Moment 
If you're ever in trouble and you need to see God,
you can come here....

What is this place to you? We all have the one place or several places that when we go there we are totally alive, totally connected and in touch and totally peaceful. It's a peaceful garden, the mountains, the ocean, the first snowflake falling in front of you, the purring kitty beside you, the laughter of children playing, a meaningful prayer, a full deep cleansing breath, during yoga and exercise, the sun beaming on your face or simply somewhere you can take yourself deep inside. It is a sacred place within us.

Find the magic in life. Be in the magic. You've got to seek it out! Even if only to allow it to flow into your life. Don't focus on the mundane and the monotony that life can bring. Rather, focus on ALL possibilities.
There are so many "God Moments" that we just have to reflect on and try to be with as much as possible; especially in times of distress, distraction and hopelessness. During these times we must bring ourselves back to these moments of being close to God. Sometimes God/Universe and the Angels work with us and make these moments happen to wake us up. And other times we must seek it out ourselves and know we can get there anytime we choose. Right here and right now. And since we ARE God/the Universe, it is within us to connect with at ALL times.

For me, I get there in many different ways. Sometimes it's a kind act from a friend or my children. When I am practice energy work, reiki and yoga I get to a connected blissful state of being. Every morning I wake up and meditate prior to my workouts and starting my day. This meditation and energy work I do IS the start to my day. I connect when in deep meditation. It's how I honor mySelf and my God/Universe/Source connection. It's how I REMEMBER "I AM". It's my peace. And when I begin to get disconnected throughout the day I try to remember that place and take a breathing break to get back there. I close my eyes and re-connect. I am a very visual person so visualizing how I view energy is my connection to Source. I visualize beautiful sparkling pink, blue and gold energy, as well as white light. The connection is amazing. When I am having a tough time connecting, I ask my Angels and God for assistance and something occurs to help me or peace just overtakes me immediately. Just ask, have the intention, get quiet, breathe and connect. What works for you?

The next huge thing I LOVE to do that connects me at a deeper level is to be grateful and thankful for my blessings. What's in my life right NOW that I am so happy and grateful for. Like my health, my children's health, my home and stability as well as most importantly my connection to the Divine, etc. It could be writing it down or simply reflecting on it and I am brought to a most sacred, powerful and beautiful place. :)
When we are touched with these moments we remember what a miracle life is. The magic is alive within us. We remember that if God brought us to this experience God will bring us through it. We remember that we are the God Divine and WE are pulling our most divine self up from deep inside us. The strength that's always been there but not necessarily totally tapped into.

We don't need to have a "bad" or negative experience to seek out our Divine Connection and feel whole again. We can find that special connection within us NOW. As we find this special place inside of each and everyone of us, it is much easier to process the challenges and make it through with a more uplifted state of being.

We are uplifted because we are connected and know that no matter what we will always be perfectly safe, happy and taken care of. We know that wherever we go in this life and the next we truly do live on, evolve and grow. We ascend and get closer to our highest Soul and our Source/God/Divine.

Reverse Warrior - Yoga Pose of the Month

Reverse Warrior
Sanskrit: Viparita Virabhadrasana

Reverse Warrior has amazing benefits. Such as, helps fatigue and lower back pain as well as strengthens the legs, abs and thighs, stretches the inner thighs, hips and groin, increases flexibility of the back and spine, clears the mind, reduces overall body weight and burns excess of calories. (The last two are my fav! teehee.) And it's great for releasing energy all the way up the body through and out the raised arm. Love it! :)

Directions on how to come into the pose:
Standing in Warrior II (legs wide and apart, hips open, bending left knee so knee is over ankle, think good posture and reach tall). Take the back (right) hand down and slide it down towards the ankle, resting on the back leg. As you take a side bend, reach up and over with left hand making a crescent shape or willow tree action. :) Maintain good foundation in the legs. Gaze forward or up towards sky. You are feeling this in the side waist and not the back per say. But you will receive mooch-o benefits in the spine! :) Hold and breathe. Five deep breaths here.

To come out, release the arms down to shoulder height back into Warrior II. Switch sides! Gotta have balance! :) Then release the arms down, straighten the back and legs. Heel toe your way back in to Mountain pose, palms together for Namaste. Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

When not to do this pose or to modify / Contraindications:
Serious injury in spine.
