What I Know For Sure (right now)

March 2010

Occasionally Oprah sends a section in her newsletter called "What I know for sure". So I thought I would send out a "What I know for sure (right now)" for this month's newsletter. You'll see with my first one why it's only "right now". :) Case in point, a great one from Oprah this month,"What I know for sure: Life is about an energy exchange. Everything and everybody is vibrating at different frequencies. And you get to choose the vibration you want to resonate with and how to manifest that choice through your actions." I totally resonate with this big time!

Now on to my list. I'm sure I could add hundreds of things to this list but for today I want to keep this list simple with the top ten things of what I know for sure right now:

1. Everything is always changing, nothing stays the same. Go with the flow of life.

Roll with the waves, the ups the downs, the in's the outs. You can stay in your center more and more as you consciously practice the Divine connection that is always there. We can live life to its fullests and feel the ups and downs while remaining in our peaceful center. The more you do this the easier it gets over time. Things will change but our center is always there for the grasping. So the more you can breathe in divine presence in every moment the easier the challenges will pass you by.

We can send out our intentions but mostly live right now, in this moment. I was not doing that recently but moreso in my intentions instead of living and feeling the aliveness that I am in every moment. It's always there. I just start to become "unconscious" the more I live in what "could be" and fall into the "ego" traps that are there. So little reminders come and if I ignore them, the whispers turn into screams, as I like to say. So listen. Here the call of what is right now. It's energy that is just under the surface of our external experiences. This reality if filled with beautiful experiences to enjoy and work through. But we CAN live in this beautiful experience and be in our inner peaceful center at the same time.

2. Nothing is ever ours. Everything is temporary. Enjoy what we have now. It will not always be. Live in the Present moment. Surrender everything!

3. We are all One. We are all connected, every human being, every tree, plant and flower. We are the source connection.

4. Everything is alive with energy. Everything. We can choose to manipulate it to our desires as our expression or simply enjoy it as it flows. A balance occurs with enjoying the energy as is and with allowing what is bursting out of you as divine guidance to flow as your expression of the energy.

Even our words have energy! It's not just about being positive but rather being conscious. We can use our negative energy to say no I don't want that. It's there as a guiding post to show us what is inside of us and what we need to bring into the light to transmute into what we really are becoming. Light beings. Become conscious.

5. Just do what you love. Divine Guidance call us, pulls us to our divine expression. We must express what we love and love what we express. What feels truly divine good is what is calling to you. So be happy.

6. Put our love into whatever it is we are doing! We can love what we do and we can do what we love. While we are on our way to our next expression we must enjoy the moment that is happening right now. So whatever it is that you are doing, put your loving energy into it. This will keep your conscious vibration singing high and that feeds your future experience as well!

7. Movement is key. Live in the flow. Energy is constantly moving and our mind, body and soul require this movement as well. You can force yourself to be unmoving, stubborn or lazy. Or you can choose to flow with life. Move your body and feel the rejuvenation received. It's so easy to become lazy and complacent; stagnant. But it takes extra energy to remain this way and stop the forces of energy from doing what they are naturally supposed to do and that is to move, change and evolve. As you move your body you will notice the toxins being released from your body. The signs of this are feeling ahhhh oh so good.Feeling rejuvenated, refreshed and invigated. As you hit your edge you will begin to notice that you can take it even further over time. We are never stagnant, always evolving, always changing. My movement of choice is yoga as well as aerobics of many forms. But there are so many out there to choose from. Pick your favorites as that is what you will continue to do. Remember to allow your mind and soul to expand as well. Our minds become habitual to thought patterns and emotions. We can stay stagnant in old beliefs, emotions and patterns or become conscious of our life. See what is happening in your life now. Ask yourself the important questions. Are you happy and feeling good now? If not, why? What is it that needs to move or change to make yourself more uplifted. Or what is it in our old limiting beliefs that need to be modified in order for the change to occur from within and be happy where you are now in that new conscious awareness. There's so much to say about this point but for now I will stop here and see what seeds have been planted for you.

8. Faith and Trust. Know we are always taken care of. Always. Everything happens for the highest and best good of our current vibration. This one is so simple and yet to pivotal to what holds it all together for me, especially during those challenging times. Having faith that all is as it should be gets me through. Using faith to assist me in seeing the good that comes out of *every* situation allows me to flow with life. Trust that you are in the flow. Allow grace to move you through the challenges and hold on to your faith that we are all One with Source.

9. By meditating you can get quiet enough to hear the still small voice within. In meditation you get closer to the vibration that we were before incarnating. And in doing this you bring a little piece of that back with you for a higher awareness. Your conscious evolves, changes and moves to new levels through meditation. Messages and knowings happen most assuredly easier when meditating and even when not meditating if you are in a regular meditating practice. Life flows with you because you are consciously connected with your dedicated meditation practice. The benefits are amazing.

Some days are harder than others so sometimes we forget or think we don't have the time. Totally understandable. We all get there and we all do it. Our ego-driven lives take over. But you may take note that on those days when we don't take that time for ourselves, even 5 minutes, that the day is rockier and more challenging to move through. You may feel less connected and little knowings will not more easily come your way like they do when you regularly meditate. You can even meditate while journaling at your desk. You can write and then close your eyes for a few moments and then write some more. Whatever it is that you can do, do it.

So take a few moments every day to come back to yourself with meditation. Come back to the Divine by getting quiet and being. You can do this in the sanctuary of your home, out in nature or even in the bathroom stall at work. I know I have to do this sometimes and it's really helpful. Get centered and move through your day with more ease, grace and love with connected through meditation.

10. We only have right now. Live in the moment of Now. Right now in this very second you can tap into your true peaceful still self. Right now in this very moment is all you have so you can make the most of only right now. The phrase "Live like you were dying" is so right on. We never know when our lives will end really. It could be any day, any moment or even today. Live right now as if the next second is your last. When you do this every single thing you do, every moment and every person you see becomes sacred. Denise Linn shared a moving newsletter in her Mumblings & Musings this month about a friend of hers diagnosed with cancer and the hospital being unable to continue her life support measures. They let her know that she had mere weeks to live. What her friend became when she heard this was beautiful and graceful. She began seeing every moment as a treasure. Every feeling. Even sitting on the toilet became a sacred moment to treasure. Every thing we feel, see and do is a gift. And by living like this EVERY DAY in EVERY MOMENT we truly expand our life to something so meaningful and loving. Life truly is a treasure and as you live in this very moment Now (and always) you really LIVE. Make that choice to be you and live Now, happy in faith and trust that all is Divine.

This month's newsletter is a rush job. I do apologize if there are any typos. Please see beyond any typos I may have missed. When I return from vacation I will do a sweep of the newsletter and make sure it flows without any typos as best I can. But even with any typos, the information is held within.

New Attitude for the New Year. Attitude of Gratitude.

Count your blessings. This new year is all about you. Yes, really. It's about putting out there what your true essence is and what your true divine destiny of service or passion is. From the big stuff to the small stuff it's about aligning with a higher vibration. The highest vibrations are Gratitude, Appreciation and Love.

I invite you to start this new year out right and to really count your blessings. Notice the blessings already in your life now. Really take a moment and close your eyes and come into this awareness. Feel the love and gratitude for the beautiful family you have, the shelter over your head, money in your pocket, food in your belly, job you may still have, or the excellent health you and your family may be experiencing and even smaller things that are so big like the smile of your baby when she looks at you. Whatever it is that is in your life, truly see it as the blessing that it is. Be grateful for even the not-so-great stuff. Because they are blessings to move you into a new more desired vibration. Gratitude and appreciation are the highest vibration along with love. Coming into full awareness of what's already in your life, allows more of the SAME to flow your way!

Many Masters and Guru's state that their only intention when they wake up in the morning is "Thank you". That is an intense feeling when you are present with it. It is so intense Love comes into your awareness with it. Because that is all there is. We only have what is in our present moment. And it is only in the present moment that we can allow the highest good to flow through us. We can feel good now. Not in 10 days or after you've gone through this process or that process, but now. Right now, in this very moment. It's all about your free will and belief that you can be in a higher vibrational good state of being. It's one step, one leap and you are there.

Be grateful for ALL things in your life. Be grateful for the good *and* the “bad”. Be grateful and accept that all things are brought to you for your life experience, even the not-so-great stuff. (I know, I know. How many times can I say "Be grateful"! But the point is to be in the grateful or appreciative frequency.) Tell the Universe, THANK YOU for this challenge, this person, or this horrible experience. Then truly feel that gratefulness. As you ask it to show you what lessons it has for you, inspiration comes because you have come to a state of gratitude and acceptance for what IS right now. You realize that all experiences are for your highest and best good. You realize you are timeless. This too shall pass. You are going to get through these experiences without burying them. You are so grateful and happy to have this experience show you what you need to learn about yourself so that you can shine a light on it, integrate the learning’s and transmute it into the light being you are! Then suddenly a shift occurs and more wonderful things occur. You come to a state of appreciation, forgiveness, and healing. The shift that occurs within is indescribable. You may only notice little blips on the radar screen at first and then suddenly a ginormous change occurs in that pattern and it stops. You’ve integrated. You’ve moved forward. You’ve evolved. And you can continue to work on the next thing that may come up with living in gratitude and faith. All truly is well.

Be in a grateful state of mind now. Be grateful for what you have now. Be grateful for what you will have, as if it’s already hear. Expect it and then release it. Remember, if you are not feeling grateful or uplifted you might be feeling resistance. And as they say, what we resist persists or what you fear you draw near. So do not focus on the negative things in your life, only the positive things. Be grateful for the negative experiences so your vibration in in that uplifted state of being. As you are in the positive state of mind you continue to bring positive experiences into your life. Whatever we resonate at is exactly what we receive. So raise your vibrations naturally and easily just by feeling grateful. Feel grateful for yourself, for your family, home, for your neighbors and co-workers and *their* good fortune too. As we are grateful to another’s good fortune we assist in their continuing their good fortune. This is giving without expecting anything in return. And as we do that, we automatically are in a new vibration that feeds the positive energy and we receive that much faster and easier. So energize yourself and find those truly wonderful things to feel grateful for. As you do, you move to that place and transform. And you can manifest the life of your dreams.

It does take dedication, a positive outlook, forgiveness of self and others. One thing that helped me and I strongly suggest you doing is having a Gratitude Journal. Write down ALL the good in your life. And I mean ALL the good. If you need to first get out all the bad, write it down, then BURN that journal/paper. (This is very good for releasing all the bad once and for all. You're telling God you're not going to accept that ickiness in your life anymore.) Then EVERY DAY write down at least three things you are grateful for. (At least!) I know when I got started, I couldn't stop at three. Do this for 21 days or more! After the 21 days, if you ever get in a funk do this exercise again. It works to adjust your brain waves to expecting more positive experiences to be grateful for and as you expect it, you align with that frequency and receive those positive experiences. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations. Gratitude brings peace.

In this uplifted state of being you will begin to notice a movement within. It can start off very slow and gradually increase in intensity. Do what your spirit moves you to do. It's not something you attain. It just is. It's always there. You just simply open up to it. You open up to yourself. Listen to the whispers within. When you don't listen they become screams anyway! :) It's the quiet place inside of you that is always there. Just allow it to flow rather than stifling it. It doesn't have to be a major shift in one fell swoop but one natural move, in the direction of your inner guidance, after another. And from there always enjoy the ride.

I feel. I am so grateful for feeling the Divine connection within me. It is this connection that allows me to go forth in this life as it is now. It is the driving force for my entire beingness. It is amazing. It is you and it is me. It is all of us and to feel that connection is a blessed gift. This is my thank you every morning when I wake up.
Happy NEW YEAR to you all! Here's to a fantastic new year this 2010. You all deserve it!

Enjoy, live, laugh and love always!

Don't Know. Don't Care.

During this Holiday season it is so easy to get caught up the hustle and bustle of obtaining gifts and running errands for the next holiday party. There are so many who have more stress and anxiety around this season that is supposed to be happy, peaceful and in celebration for our Source Connection. So now more than ever it is so important to come back to your center. To live in the present moment of stillness and love. It is so very important because it can be so easily lost when we are constantly worrying about what we will get for whom, what we can afford, who will be hurt if you don't get the "perfect" gift, how we will make the kids happy while still including others in on the fun, if we will have a job to sustain us, if we will get a job for some, who has crossed over and will no longer be with us in this reality, and this holiday bustle compounds the "usual" stress to a higher level.

It's imperative to get out of the past and stop worry about the future. Start living for right now. Right now, in this very moment there is peace. The stillness is with you if you only allow it to be. Take a deep breath right now and close your eyes. Inhale and exhale. What do you feel? Stillness? Peace? Love? It is this space within you that is always within you that no one and no thing can ever touch nor take away. It is your connection to the Divine/God/Universe. It is you.

In order to assist you this Holiday season, I want to share the gift of presence through meditation. I would like to share a meditation method that was shown to me by a Zen Master at the Providence Zen Center in Cumberland, Rhode Island during a one day retreat. This retreat was a six hour Zen meditation. This was the longest meditation I’ve experienced in one sitting thus far.

We would sit in the lotus position or with legs crossed for 20 minutes in meditation and then do a walking meditation for 10-20 minutes. Then sit for 20 minutes and do a walking meditation for 10-20 minutes. And the cycle continued until complete. At sporadic times during the sitting meditation the meditation leader would walk around with a stick and ask that you lower your head to the floor exposing your back if you would like to receive a tap on your back. It is the idea that this will adjust your mind when needed as well as your body to stay present during the meditation. I’m sure there are other subtle benefits as well.

A short time into the meditation we started to take turns going in to the Zen Master to have a discussion with him or to simply sit with him for however long we felt necessary. Some folks had long debates about spiritual or life issues. Others chose not to go in. When I went in it was about three hours into the meditation. All the questions I had thought I might ask the Zen Master went away. I no longer required answers. So I didn’t have much to talk about. He gave me a great meditation tip to keep me going through the last half of my meditation retreat. He said to simply chant a mantra in my mind coordinated with my breath. Breathe in, “Don’t Know”, Breathe out, “Don’t Care”. Inhale-Don't Know. Exhale-Don't Care. Don’t know, don’t care, don’t know, don’t care, don’t know, don’t care.

This is a wise mantra. The idea is that you are not in the yin and yang of life; the ups and downs; but rather view the experiences from a calm neutral place. It's not bad. It's not good. It just is. The more I learn the more I realize I know nothing. The Divine is all-knowing. So leave it up to the Divine. Freedom. Not caring about what’s going on around you does not say you do not have compassion for others experiences or the issues happening in your life. Instead it is more of a way of accepting what is going on as Divine. Because everything truly is Divine and happens for a reason. You are simply observing in a neutral but peaceful place of being. Don’t know. Don’t care.

"There is no waiting for something to happen, no point in the future to get to. All you have ever longed for is here in this moment, right now." ~ Oriah Mountain Dreamer

I've been on the meditation path for a decade now and the more I meditate the more I connect with the Divine/God. Meditation is my connection and brings me back to presence. I remember that I am now in a more constant state of meditation aka Presence/Stillness/Magic/Now. Today the sky was my meditation. the blue star-filled sky that changed to dusk and a beautiful sunrise with pinks and blues to yellow and blue. So magical. A stillness now always felt comes back to me during these moments. Sometimes my state of being wavers but the meditation practice brings me back to magical awareness...to "myself", the stillness within...to my connection to the Divine. Whatever your method the more you can dedicate a daily practice to connecting to Source the more you will feel that you have always been and always will be connected. It is the gift of presence. When you share this with yourself it is felt by all those around you.

So for this Holiday season. Give this meditation a try. Or simply sit in quiet peace for even five minutes a day and you will feel the benefits a thousand fold. The immediate benefits are clarity and relaxation. There are striking long-term health benefits from meditation as well. Breath awareness is another great meditation that you can do anywhere. Just notice and be aware of your breath, the inhale and the exhale. Your breath is always in the present moment so becoming aware of your breath pulls you in the Now. And if you're in a winter season, you can also enjoy the benefits of a beautiful snowfall. Get outside, breathe in the crisp air, and watch, and listen. If there is serene snow where you live, enjoy the snow as each unique beautiful snowflake falls. There is a unique stillness in the air when you can get outside and be with a fresh snowfall. Nature takes you back to your true essence. Each drop of nature brings me back to center and peace. It is my wish that each of you receive the gift of stillness and peace this holiday season.

Enjoy, live, laugh and love always!

Share your True Essence as your Gift this Thanksgiving!

Share your True Essence as your Gift this Thanksgiving! (I have to be Me!) What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than to not only recognize your true essence but to share those unique gifts that God has given you to the World! This is the best way to raise your vibration and contribute in a positive way! Add to this your gratitude for these gifts and this ability to share them and you are well on your way to living blissfully Now and Always. Bless the world with your blessings and you will receive those blessings back a thousand fold. It's in the sharing the true magic happens.

It's becoming clearer every day that the message is to always remain true to the core of who you are. Be authentic. Don't worry about what others think. Only be who you truly are. That is all you can do. For me, I am living as authentically as possible while being grateful for all I've received and all I can share with others. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrational states out there! And it feels oh so good!

So my advice is to do you best not to sell out for money, fame or another persons happiness. You must follow *your* own happiness and passions. THAT is where true bliss lies for each of us. You only delay the inevitable and cause more roadblocks in your life that make it much harder to get back in the groove of your happy life. I'm not saying give up your job before you've even taken a moment to make a plan. I'm saying if you are in a job that is paying the bills, that's wonderful. Stay there and reevaluate if you are happy with the job. IF you are, fantastic. If you are not, then see if it's a new hobby you'd like to pursue while keeping the day job. Or maybe there is something entirely new you'd like to explore as a career. Start looking into those options and work your way towards it one step at a time. When there is a plan you can have more peace doing a job you are not so happy with, knowing you are getting to the career you will truly enjoy. It is about living happy now even doing something that is not completely in line with your bliss but always being true to your authentic self even in the not-so-great moments.

It's about becoming aligned with your true self and being in alignment with that true self in every moment possible. Remove attachments to the "negative" of the job and simply enjoy being wherever you are while continuing to stay and bring to yourself into proper alignment with your true self. Do your best no matter what job you are doing. You'll feel so much more aligned with truth and integrity when you do this and your days will go by happier and more peaceful.

You might think you are doing the right thing because society or someone you care about says it's what you are "supposed" to do. But we must stop listening to those past conditionings. They are out dated!!! Don't let anyone limit you or say you are "this" or you are "that" when you are soooo much more than whatever it is they say. It's time to follow your heart and be strong in order for the essence of who you are to shine.

Whatever it is you can bring it out! You can take it one step at a time little by little or go for the big-juicy-winner-takes-all for whatever is your passion in life. Listen to your inner guidance. It will never steer you wrong. Know that everything has divine timing and you are always right where you need to be. Lose the cords of needing to be elsewhere while following the divinely inspired actions that come your way of things that get you to an even higher vibrational space. If you get a pang of doubt, LISTEN UP! It's your wake up call. Please listen to the whispers or sooner or later the screams will come. Remember guidance that comes will always be framed in a positive gentle tug and never negative or mean or doubtful or fearful (that is ego). Be who you are in the small circles of conversation and in the large ones.

Be who you are all the time. THAT is part of why we are all here! To express the Divine through us. And each of us have a unique expression to shine! So let it shine! :) Sometimes I find myself being the old me, that meek little girl who didn't speak up or say how she felt. She didn't want to be seen and she didn't want to cause any ripples that would lead back to her. She wanted to slide through life easily and quietly enjoying it here and there. But the Universe had other plans. I have to be seen to teach workshops. I am in school to be a Yoga Instructor and I have to be seen to teach yoga. I have to be seen in my family as an equal member with a voice! These newsletters I send out to you all have been a true testament to my putting my voice out there. These newsletters afford me the opportunity to express myself as well as channel messages that are meaningful to those that are drawn to reading them.

It is part of my voice, my expression to uplift. So reach into the core of your being so that you shine your light and ascend naturally to the light beings you already are. I try my best to be as authentic, true and REAL as I can in what I share (and how I live) because that is all I can do. Being another fake person with fluffy messages will not evolve my soul or anyone else's. So what I share is from my heart, my higher self, the Angels and God/Universe/The All That Is. It is all of us.

As much as my awareness is in every moment it is as real as can be. I am not poetic or seductively eloquent with my messages for the most part. Usually I'm just me, up front, upbeat, corny and a die-hard romantic for those happy endings. Sometimes when my Guides (ultimately a part of me) speak through me they sometimes have a higher fluidity in the tone and message that comes through very strong. And sometimes it is necessary for only my voice to speak the message. It is whatever the present moment calls for and it is Divine. My awareness will change/evolve and my beliefs will change and so too will the messages. And that's all about ascending. So the message this month for all of you reading this is to be real to yourself. Put your voice out there where you can and go wherever you are Divinely guided to go. Don't let another out-of-date belief stop you in your tracks anymore. Wake up. Share your gifts no matter how "small" you think they are or how "big" they are. Each sharing is a major contribution to the World's ascension. Be grateful for your gifts and share what has been given.

I have something to share (we all do) and it might not make it to the larger audiences but it will make it to the circle of family, friends and students that are divinely guided to be around me. Just as their unique presence will be felt by me. And our special sharing's are what being a part of this world is all about. Share with each other the unique special essence that you are. Live your life now, not when you're dead with a nice quote on a tombstone.

Sometimes I want to dance to music in my car. So I dance! I have to start not caring if I look "crazy". I'm hoping this will rub off on my kids. I'm starting to learn to beat to the heart of my own drum. I'm still shy. I'm a work in progress but I'll get there and enjoy it while I do! I might not be the sexy sensual writer or the Tony Robbins of this century but there is a middle ground for me there. I'm happy with who I am right now. And there are many underlying layers I have yet to comprehend about myself. I'm still exploring what those are. We can't quite know everything about ourselves right? There is fun in the mystery of who we are. Explore who you are and play with the open mindedness of the many possibilities that you are more than you think you are! :)

The message of this month's newsletter is to express yourself in every moment that you can. Now that doesn't always mean talking or doing something. Sometimes that may actually mean saying or doing nothing as your expression; not feeding negative gossip, or not taking part in something that does not feel right to you, or taking quiet time for yourself for once. Whatever your expression is for every moment, share it. Get in touch with the real you. Many times I find that simply being is the best answer. Simply removing myself from the "positive or negative" of a situation and becoming neutral. In this place there is peace. This is where I live most times from within myself. This is where my true essence is felt most. This is where there are no attachments and it is only bliss and peace no matter what is going on in the outside world. This is where we know that all is Divine and everything that is happening is happening for a reason. It's all Divine.

"Life begins at the end of the comfort zone."
~ Unknown

Self-acceptance comes into play here. In order to get down deep to the depths of your true essence you must accept it as a part of who you are and be willing to share it or release it in some fashion. Accept that there is more to you that even you haven't explored yet. We have our lives here to pull out new expressions of ourselves. Now is no longer a time for self-judgment so let go! It's time to have some fun with it! :)

A great affirmation to recite many times a day or whenever you need a reminder is: "I am perfect just as I am," by Judith Lasater, PH.D., P.T., Living Your Yoga.

You are always moving in the direction of your soul's highest calling whether you know it or not. But you can do this consciously and blissfully. We mine as well enjoy the physical reality as much as we can while we're here. There must be a reason for all of these gifts we've been given. What you have to share is valid and true and necessary to the whole. Share with us what is special to you. Embrace your true essence. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Enjoy, live, laugh and love always!

It's So Easy To Forget

It's so easy to forget. It's so easy to fall back into unconscious living. You're on a high of universal bliss and then wammo the ego steps in due to a distraction or chaos with day-to-day living.
We need to remember even especially during mundane or busy times that we are always and can always be in a constant state of peace and centeredness even then!

Breathe in the Peace and stillness within you. Drink it in. Stillness is with you always. For, it IS you. Bliss, Peace, Love, Stillness, Consciousness; whatever you call it, it is all the same. And it is your essence. Breathe and feel the peace underneath all the chatter, thought forms and ego perceptions.

You can never be lost as you are always found. The more you shed the unnecessary portions of your ego the more awake and aware you become of your true essence; your stillness; your presence in every living moment. Every moment is ALIVE. And you become aware of it as you recognize those thoughts as not good, not bad, but just bubbles of energy that you no longer need to attach to.

As long as there is attachment to the thought, it will exist. Release the attachment and pure freedom is yours. When you have that thought of a co-worker conspiring against you or a wrong-doing by your boss or anyone, release that thought. Release the attachment to the thought that it is real. Whether that is true or not matters not. When it is released you suddenly feel a peace and bliss you never thought possible. Magic occurs in this moment. The peace you feel is "proof in the pudding" with regards to your thoughts and emotions (emotions that attach to those thoughts thereby creating more experiences that create those thoughts and emotions to continue to stay in existence) really only being an illusion and only in existence if you believe it.

While in stillness you will sometimes receive intuitive guidance that will assist you. You know and feel it is true because it is something that comes from within, out of that stillness. And then you listen to the guidance given (whether that is to take divinely inspired action or not take action on something). So then move in that present moment whatever it calls for. If it calls for nothing, then be in that peace. The more you stay in touch with this inner knowing the easier it is to remain present and fully conscious.

Flower in your own time. We are all flowering in our own space and time. Some are at a slow pace and others faster. We each have a set pace that works for us. Some will flower immediately and most will go gradually. And for the gradual folks, blissful stillness starts to show up in spurts and sputters gaining in momentum. It seems to disappear at times. And that is our unconsciousness coming back in. Just check in as often as you can and remain present. Be with the present moment always. Breathe and remember.

If a thought comes in and you notice suffering (Resistance & Attachment = Suffering), just come to the remembrance of your true essence and release the thought to the ethers. Do not resist the uncomfortable emotions or thoughts, but rather let them pass on by. Allow them to exist rather than burying them deep down. These will only boil over for an explosion later. By allowing them to exist they dissipate much faster. Kim Eng notes that you can release an emotion in 20 seconds if you remain present with it. 20 seconds! That's amazing. Not minutes, or hours, or days or weeks or years! 20 seconds if you allow it to be what it is. It's made manifest so it must run its course. It doesn't have to build upon itself by repressing it or dwelling on it in a wallowing state. If can be allowed and most important ACCEPTED as it is and it will disappear.

As Kim Eng shared during the seminar I attended, become the bamboo. Inside a piece of bamboo it is hollow. This is a wonderful goal to strive for within the self. Allow thoughts and emotions to flow in and flow back out. It need not stick for long. Simply follow divine guidance that comes in and allow the thoughts and emotions to flow on through.

If you are in an enjoyable moment, enjoy it but have *no* attachment to it so that it can be what it is to be and you do not suffer if or rather when the enjoyable moment passes.
Remaining in stillness you will always have a peace with you no matter what "good" or "bad" moment is happening in the present.

So become conscious. Really check in with yourself in every moment. Bring more of you out and more of your higher self through you to the world by being conscious. Pay attention to your environment, your feelings, your thoughts, your reactions, synchronicities that happen in your life, to nature, your loved ones, and strangers. Pay attention. Connect with the Self and the world. Staying conscious allows your light to consistently shine. It also feels so much better! When you go through emotions they can transpire in the present moment and dissipate much faster! Allow what is to exist and transform all you see into light simply by recognizing the light within all you see! :)

Here is an awesome exercises in consciousness from Matt Kahn of True Divine Nature: "Close your eyes and ask: Is there a who that is here or is here what's here?" Pause to feel the knowing. Here is what's here. "If there is no specific who that exists out of a temporary image, how do you know that the thoughts in your mind are yours? For example if you are thinking, 'I am ____/blank'. It's just a thought that suggests that there is an I seeing or feeling this way. How do you know that that thought that you are hearing pertains to you if there is no "who" that is here? Everything is consciousness, there's a thought and consciousness is believing it. "Who" is the consciousness of thought believing in itself." This exercise is found in the video section of Matt's website dated 8/19/09. When I do this exercise I become so aware of the true awareness that is within. I am that and it has always been and always will be.

I've received a question this month that has turned into Part 2 of this article, so I must send you on down this web page to read the "Dear Maggie" column for more on remain present, conscious and staying in your peace and bliss. :)
