What's New
Now is the time when the veil is the thinnest. Many people are having psychic connections, visions,
feelings and knowings about loved ones that have passed (or crossed
over to the Other Side/Heaven). And even still a greater number are
dreaming about their passed loved ones. Those with mediumship skills,
whether they knew it beforehand or not are suddenly waking up to
these abilities now. yay. :) Our loved ones from the Other Side take
this time when the veil is the thinnest to reconnect with us and give
us messages of their love and support. They want us to move on with
our lives and know they are truly happy and safe awaiting our arrival
when it's our time. They send you love and want you to fulfill your
purpose while living a happy, purposeful, abundant life. Do take this
to heart during this 2013 Holiday Season.

It's been a challenging year for many of us. And
holiday seasons tend to bring with it a lot of hectic busy times. So
take this time to relax and rejuvenate instead. Find ways to simplify
your holiday season. For example, I have a big family. So purchasing
a gift for every single person is not only cumbersome but sometimes
impossible. Each year we've done a Secret Santa for the kids and this
year the adults enjoy more simplicity while getting in on the fun too
with a yankee swap. This is a great way to bring in the art of giving
while not getting overloaded! It's a whole lot of fun too! Enjoy the
time you have so you can be recharged for an amazing 2014.
Check this out! I like to
watch The Voice during my morning workouts. Seeing the banter between
Blake Shelton and the rest of the coaches is hilarious, especially
with Adam Levine. However, a few weeks ago Christina Aguilera insists
her singers on The Voice practice yoga with her. How cool is this! I
was ecstatic! Click the image above to the right to see the
article. She knows the power of yoga and the ability is has to assist
all singers with their voice, opening their lungs, cleansing their
diaphragm and internal organs and more! So now, how can you use yoga
to benefit your life. Yoga is for the mind, body and soul. You gain
strength, flexibility and agility, as well as mind-body-soul
connection and centeredness. All around beautiful and amazing with a
dedicated practice. I look forward to seeing you on the mat! For
a little yoga humor, check out Ellen DeGeneres' video on how she
does yoga. Ellen is sooo funny!

Yoga Sequence of the Month

This month I share the last of the sequences I have
(for now). And beginning next month we will focus on individual poses
once again.
The Moon
Salutation invites us to bow to and cultivate lunar
energy for each soothing pose. (Click on the image to the right to
see larger in a higher resolution.) This is a great sequence for when
you are feeling more depleted or in the evening when you are ready to
rest and unwind under the Moon. The Moon Salutation complements a yin
yoga practice. You may, also, find it a great way to prepare the hips
for a yin session targeting the liver.
The sun is yang relative to the moon. But, the moon is
yang relative to the earth. Just as there are dozens of variations of
Sun Salutations, there are many versions of Moon Salutations. The
offering here is based on the Kripalu
tradition as adapted by the Ra-Hoor-Khuit Network.
"When you can, practice Chandra Namaskar in the
evening. Surya Namaskar is traditionally practiced at sunrise as a
way to pay homage to the sun and to warm up the body for the coming
day. It makes sense, then, to practice Chandra Namaskar in the
evening when the moon is out. Not only is it a great way to prepare
yourself for sleep, as yoga teacher and Yoga Journal contributing
editor Richard Rosen points out, sunrise and sunset have always been
considered powerful times for practicing hatha yoga. "During
these times, there's a balance between light and dark. It's not day.
It's not night. You're at a junction between the two," he says.
"This reflects internally in your body: Your hot and cold
energies are also in balance. It's a natural time to do the
practice." The idea of looking to the moon for rejuvenation is
certainly not new. In fact, the Shiva Samhita, a 500-year-old Tantric
text, regarded the moon as the source of immortality. Practitioners
of Tantra (a form of yoga that preceded hatha yoga) believed that the
"sun" was located in the solar plexus; the
"moon," in the crown of the head." ~ Yogajournal.com

Inspire You Article
In Light and Truth
No matter
what is happening or who you are dealing with, remember in that very moment
that the light of God/ Universe/ etc. is in you, in them and shining
truth. Remember that light come from all situations.
It is within our power to choose how we feel and react
in every situation and challenge. Energy is just energy. Whether it's
positive energy or negative energy that is being aimed at us, it
still is all energy. We can use that energy to our advantage.
In every situation we have the choice to react
negatively, positively or stay neutral, in the witness state and
observe. We can transmute that energy for something more desire. As
powerful creators of this very Universe, we create every day. We can
choose to stay by the side lines and allow that energy to exist as
others have created it or we can choose to transmute that energy into
light and use it for something we want.
